Green’s office new home to Bay City student art

LANSING, Mich.—Sen. Mike Green’s office is the new home to an impressive art collection from the students of Lindsay Elementary School in Bay City.

“Michigan is well represented in this awesome work of art produced by Vikki’s talented students at Linsday Elementary,” said Green, R-Mayville. “I’m grateful for their hard work and proud to show off their talent to state leaders, district constituents and my fellow legislators.”

The art consists of the works of more than 50 students from Vikki G. Streu’s various art classes. The works of the students, which include current 4th through 6th graders, forms the state of Michigan when assembled.

The map compilation, as well as another art collection, received special recognition from the Secretary of the Senate for being displayed in Greens Lansing Capitol office.

The art work will remain on the wall of Green’s office until the Legislature breaks for the holidays in December.
