Green Media Advisory: Senator to discuss legislative priorities at NRA Second Amendment Weekend Feb. 11

LANSING, Mich.—State Sen. Mike Green, R-Mayville, is set to address the NRA Second Amendment Weekend gathering on Saturday, Feb.11 from 2 to 3 p.m.

The two-day event will be held at Cabela’s, located at 110 Cabela Blvd. in Dundee, MI.

Green is expected to discuss his legislative priorities for 2012, including Senate Bill 58, which would repeal “no concealed carry” zones for licensees, and SB 59, which would reform the Concealed Pistol License process for qualified applicants. Members of the press are encouraged to attend. The event is open to the public. However, an RSVP is required.

As a state representative in 1999, Sen. Green introduced the legislation that changed Michigan to a “shall issue” state for concealed pistol licenses. He remains committed to protecting and enhancing the rights of gun owners under Michigan law.
